A continual crossing of borders signifies the person Yara Mar and thus also her way to dance. After a somber period in her life she decided to  dedicate herself to the art of dance.
The most intense moments of dancing she experienced on the stages of various nightclubs-those nights and the collaberations with other dance artists as well as practising in a pole dance studio led to the development of a sensual and authentic style characterized by emotionally expressive and intense movements. Movement is the bearer of meaning in her dance: her prayer-her poetry-her passion.
She sees the significance of her dancing in a “confessional demeanour”, a way to take the inside to the outside .In this expression of mind and body , pleasure and pain melt together in motion and music.

For her, a Pole Dance performance enables a strong connection between performer and spectator- entailing a gaze that is beyond projections of exhibitionism and voyeurism. The dancer and the spectator merge within the dancing and thus enter a mutual world of imagination.
